Wine & The City and South Australia's Maverick Winery are teaming up for a fantastic wine pairing dinner at Cindy's Umami where they will introduce guests to wines from the Barossa Valley.
Ronald Brown, owner and winemaker at Maverick Winery, will host this special dinner alongside the Wine & The City team and will share with you inside stories of the challenges it takes to make some of Barossa valley’s best wines.
Cindy's Umami is the perfect place to learn more about these wines. This creative Dutch restaurant serves up creative Western-style food according to the 'five balance theory' which highlights the main flavor of each dish. The restaurant aims to maintain the original flavor of the dishes while mixing it with Western elements.
Just to give you an idea of what's on the menu, dishes will include Crispy Sea Bass with Mustard Flavoured Mayonnaise, Black Truffle Mushroom Soup, Australian Black Angus Tenderloin, Iberico Pork and more.
Maverick Winery was founded in 2004 with the sole objective to become one of Australia’s premium boutique wineries. With 100 acres spread between the Barossa and Eden Valley, half the vines are over 50 years old with some of the Riesling vines dating back to the 1860s.
