Experimental musician and producer Four Tet is bringing his lush eclectic mixes to Omni Space this Saturday, November 17. We're giving one lucky reader a pair of tickets!
The visionary electronic artist is known for slow-building, synth-riddled hits like 'Parallel Jalebi' from his celebrated 2013 release Beautiful Rewind and 'Two Thousand and Seventeen,' a hypnotic track from his most recent album New Energy, which debuted last year.
Hailing from England, Kieran Hebden, the man behind the moniker, has been an inventive beatmaker since he was a teenager, starting out as a member of the band Fringe with some classmates. His solo project came to fruition in 1998, when he released his first work as Four Tet – a 36-minute and 25 second song titled 'Thirtysixtwentyfive.'
He went on to put out nine full-length albums and has remixed tracks from various artists such as Lana Del Rey, Radiohead, The xx, Rihanna, Sia and more, a track record that establishes Four Tet as one of the most influential electronic musicians today. In fact, Hebden was nominated for a Grammy Award last year for his remix of 'Violent Noise' by The xx.
This weekend, the avant-garde electro whizz is stopping in Beijing. We'll be selecting the winner on Thursday so don't miss out on your chance to snag free tickets to the show!
