May 23: Riot Jerks

Changsha ska punk band Riot Jerks brings you some good old fashioned noise this Wednesday night. After a fallout in 2011, the rockers are back and badder than ever. Don't miss their energetic set at School Bar.

May 23: Zhang Qianqian

Chinese rock pioneer Zhang Qianqian steps back into the spotlight and performs an intimate set at Jianghu Bar. Often compared to musicians like Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, the folk temptress captivates this Wednesday night with her airy vocals and emotive melodies.

May 25: Metz

Performing at Yue Space, Metz are known for their loud, noisy and exhilarating sound. With each of their three albums has garnering rave reviews, the Canadian trio stand as one of the defenders and bastions of Punk Rock. The only thing that is certain about their Beijing gig is the fact that you will leave with your ears ringing and your shirt soaking wet.

May 25: Aberration

Wuhan-based punk rockers stop by School Bar this Friday night as part of their China tour. Openers include blues-infused Wu & the Side Effects and Ghetto Blaster. Prepare yourselves for a wild night of nothing but pure rock 'n' roll.

May 26: Ceremony

American punk band Ceremony are gracing audiences this Saturday night. The hardcore rockers have taken numerous forms since their start in 2004, with their last album The L-Shaped Man signifying a shift to a more ambient sound. Catch their show at School Bar for a high-powered night of experimental rock.
