No matter what type of art you’re into – contemporary, design, classic or public – Art Beijing 2018 has it all.
The large-scale art fair, rooted in Beijing, will hold its 13th annual fair in the city on April 29th. Featuring works contributed by 160 art institutions from 14 different countries and regions, Art Beijing showcases pieces running the gamut from the bold and the beautiful to the bizarre.
Beijing, as a major hub for culture and arts, serves as a window introducing Chinese culture to the world. Based on the core concept of 'Locally based and Asia-oriented,' Art Beijing will showcase a vast display of China’s cutting-edge domestic art as well as fully represent the particular art market centered in Beijing.
The fair is organized into four different categories including contemporary art, classic art, design art and public art. In addition to these four sections, youth art market brand Hi21 teams up with Art Beijing to bring ‘Youth Scene,’ an exhibit displaying the works of young artists.
Plus, this year sees the debut of a new subbrand: Photo Beijing, a special exhibition that will examine how technology affects photography. In addition, there will be an Art Park fusing art with nature.
The motive of Art Beijing is to create a richer and more diverse art fair so that people who share a deep love of art can come together to appreciate it, while discovering new works and styles.
