Moonglow Follies are bringing ‘Hollywood Revue,’ a five-set cabaret extravaganza, to Modernista. Expect a night of wonderment, glamour and even an international cabaret star from Paris. A representation of classic Hollywood films from the 1930s to the present day will be exhibited across each of the five sets.

Apr 4: Turtle Island
The Japanese tribal punk band are bringing their unique sound to MAO Livehouse Wukesong this Wednesday. Having played Glastonbury and Fuji Rock, the group are on a quick tour through China. Mixing punk, ska, reggae and rock, the group is going to bring down the livehouse with some of their frantic and euphoric music.

Apr 4-8: Slow Boat Outdoor Beergarden
It's time to sit back, relax and soak up that sunshine this weekend - Slow Boat Brewery teams up with Timezone 8 to bring you the outdoor beergarden of your dreams in the middle of 798 Art District. Did we mention they're serving up RMB30 pints of Monkey's Fist IPA and RMB25 pints of S.O.S. Belgian Wit? If that's not a steal, we don't know what is.

Apr 5: City-Quest: "This Stop: Beijing"
Unsure what to do during Qingming? If you like riddles and art (yes, riddles and art), you can embark on this unique city-quest tour held in 798 Art District. Answer geography, history and math questions prepared by “Next Stop: Everywhere” and maybe learn some more about China in the process. The riddles are provided both in English and Russian and the competition is open both to individuals and teams.

Apr 6: James Blunt
Come hear James Blunt serenade an entire audience at Cadillac Arena. The English singer-songwriter is known for soft, melancholy tracks such as 'You're Beautiful' and 'Goodbye My Lover.' Tickets haven't sold out yet, so grab them while you still can.

Apr 6: Murlo
Since 2017, Manchester-based DJ Murlo has been experimenting with visual art as well as blending the genres of dancehall, grime and bassline. As well as producing his own music, he is best known for his remix of 'Work' by Rihanna. Get down to Dada this Friday if you want to experience some of his colorful, bright electronic music.

Apr 6-7: Indie Coffee Festival
Beijing's first ever Indie Coffee Festival is coming this weekend and it's going to be buzzing. With the huge growth in coffee over the past five years in China, now more than ever is the right time to have a coffee festival. There will be no weak chain coffee brews, just pure craftsmanship and skill. Soloist Coffee are hosting the event and they will be joined by some of the best coffee joints around the city and around the globe. In addition to the brilliant coffee, there will be masterclasses and workshops of everything from tasting to making the perfect cup.
