My landlord likes to collect things – which is convenient for me, because I don't. So when he asked if I had any leftover change from my recent trip to South Korea, I was happy to give him my useless won. Then I looked into my wallet and noticed I had coins from Japan and Hong Kong – both trips I took several months ago – to give him too.
Wouldn’t it be easier if all of this were digital? China just may be the first country to find out.
