That's Beijing takes a look at the best of the week:

June 28: Chef Rob’s Farewell Dinner

It’s been a good run, but after spending the past seven years in Beijing, Chef Rob Cunningham is bidding farewell to the capital. To commemorate Chef Rob and the mark he’s left on Beijing’s culinary scene, head over to Feast on Tuesday for a special farewell meal. He’ll be serving up a five-course dinner with some of his favorites. The menu will feature scorched scallops with roasted and raw beetroot, horseradish cream and a citrus glaze; saffron fennel and prawn soup; and a main course of suckling pig.

Tues June 28. RMB258 per person, Feast, see event listing for details.

July 1-3: HOPS International Premium Beer Festival

Beijing’s first-ever International Premium Beer Festival is just around the corner. HOPS is hosting the three-day festival, which will be held at the stunning MGM Beach (formerly Uper+) from July 1-3. There will be 80 types of premium global beers – from Belgium, Italy, Germany, England and more – to knock back on and enjoy during the event. And, of course, there will also be plenty of mouthwatering international foods on offer to pair with your beers. Check out our sneak peek into the food and beer vendors that will be at the festival here and here.

July 2: Long Happy Hour @ Ramo

Ramo is hosting a super long weekend happy hour. All weekend long, they will be serving refreshing treats – including summer pitchers, wine sorbets and cocktail popsicles. And the best part is that Ramo is giving them away at happy hour prices. Sounds good to us.

Sat July 2. Ramo, see event listing for details.

July 2: The Carnivore’s Club Weekend Stay Package With Brickyard Retreat

Hit the road with Feast (Food by EAST) this Saturday with the next Carnivore’s Club Dinner. Dine by the Great Wall and indulge in all things Bollywood. EAST, Beijing is hosting the event in tandem with The Schoolhouse at Mutianyu and the Brickyard Retreat. During the ‘staycation’ each couple will feast on an Indian-style lamb dinner and relax in a Superior Queen Room with a view of the Great Wall.

Sat July 2, RMB1588 per couple; Brickyard Retreat, for more information contact the Brickyard Retreat at reservations@brickyardatmutianyu.com, see event listing for details.

July 2: Watermelon Beer Launch & Eating Competition

Head over to Jing-A this Saturday for the launch of their Beijing Bikini Watermelon Wheat. Just in time for summer, this fan-favorite beer is made using watermelons straight from Daxing. Lucky for you, there will be happy hour prices – with an RMB10 discount – all night long. Oh, and we almost forgot to mention the Watermelon Eating Challenge, which will be held between 3-6pm. Free beers will be given to the victors.

Sat July 2, free entry. Jing-A Taproom, see event listing for details.
