Beijing's Shadowplay and Shanghai's Space Debris Committee will come together to launch Space/Play Committee, focusing on bringing experimental/left-field techno to China. For their inaugural event, they've invited London-based Italian, Marco Shuttle, to set things in motion.

Marco Shuttle has developed a brand of cinematic techno that builds pressure in subtle ways and capable of transporting listeners to lush, alien landscapes. His eclectic and cerebral sound takes cues from jazz and musique concrete as much as it does from acid house and Detroit techno.

Apart from the studio world, Shuttle has over 15 years of experience behind the decks. He’s found himself transporting dance floors around the world, from fabric in London to Berlin’s Berghain to the Labyrinth Festival in Japan.

***WIN!***

We're giving away a pair of tickets to see Marco Shuttle on Friday, March 4 at Dada Beijing. For your chance to win, sign up for That's Beijing's weekly newsletter and keep an eye out for the giveaway details which will be sent out on Wednesday, March 2. Not already a subscriber?
