Summer is finally here, so we created a new beer by the name of Passion Power Sour IPA designed to inject a bit of a tropical vibe into the Beijing CBD. This oat and wheat-led sour IPA is loaded with fresh passion fruit puree, giving it a bright tartness and a big, juicy aroma. We can almost see the palm trees just thinking about it!

Always looking to push the beers at Beersmith to new levels, our brewers designed this sour IPA to have the perfect blend of hop bitterness and passion fruit-derived tartness. Sour IPA’s have been gaining traction all over the world with brewers creating both bacteria and fruit-soured IPAs. Beersmith’s brewers decided to go the latter route and load up with pure, unadulterated fresh passion fruit puree.

In addition to the almost irresponsible levels of fruit, the Beersmith brewers used two Australian hop varieties, Galaxy and Vic Secret, to help boost the beer’s fruit characteristics, from ripe orange to lush pineapple.
