An evening with Poetry x Music + live art

Poetry x Music was formed in the spirit of experimentation, to find novel ways of bringing poetry and music together in order to unlock the hidden potentials in both. In that spirit, on Saturday, May 15, Poetry x Music presents… THE POETRY IN MUSIC, a show that will explore the interplay between words and notes.

The Poetry x Music Band (Liane Halton, classical guitar; Anthony Tao, poetry; David Moser, piano; Ryan Etzcorn, drums; Jared Lang, bass) performance will be accompanied by live art by illustrator Jen Rao. Her digital drawings will be projected behind the band as the music plays. There will also be a special musical guest in violinist Shawn Moore, who has toured in the past with Natalie Merchant.

In addition, Camera Stylo will launch two new cocktails — one whisky-based ("Poetry"), one gin-based ("Music") — on the night of the performance. Those attending the performance will get 20 RMB off these two cocktails all night.
