Caochangdi, northeast and not far away from the 798 art district, is - whilst smaller and less commercial - another important area with art galleries in Beijing.
Let’s explore together the district - situated and still embedded in the daily life of a former farming village. You will see some of the galleries, be introduced to the work of selected Chinese and international artists whose work is on show during your visit, and hear about history and recent developments in the village as well as gain some insights on the local art scene.
Ideal for those with an interest in contemporary art, for friends or family in town – and anyone who wants to discover together a less known and a bit harder to navigate Beijing art district.
Note: We will walk quite a bit, please be prepared and wear comfortable shoes. A short break with a possibility to sit down is planned during the tour (soft drinks and simple snacks offered).
Duration: 2-2.5 hours
Fees: RMB205/person (max 10 participants/tour), includes soft drinks & snacks
Language: English
