"That's Mandarin Chinese Language School"

I started taking online 1:1 classes when I found out that my work needed me to move to China. While I usually prefer face-to-face lessons (hence the 4 rating for environment), I had a great teacher and improved quickly. The classes in the beginner and intermediate levels are based off of video dialogues. I learned Japanese in a similar way, and I think it is a great way to learn a language in context. One point I loved about the classes is how the teachers are very responsive to student needs. Toward the beginning of my classes, we would practice translating the conversations from English to Chinese, but after I told my teacher that translating wasn't as helpful, she was able to find other ways to help me get more from the lessons. We were able to do more free-talking at the beginning of classes, and focused more on vocabulary (I have a background in other asian languages, so grammar wasn't much of an issue for me).
