This had to be one of the worse New Year party experiences ever. Chronologically this is the way it went: 1. Purchased 2 ticket four days in advance. 2. Call Boxing Cat a day earlier and asked for reservation on those tickets and a guy ( Jimmy) said that the tickets already assured a table. 3. On the 31st my boyfriend and I arrived at around 8:30 and there was a slow as hell line to get in the 7 degree weather. After 20 minutes on line a guy comes out and says that there were no more tables. WTF?! Seriously? We go to complain and ask for the money back and the chief organizer of the event asks us to please wait at an outside table in the cold for 30 minutes for a table inside to clear. 40 minutes later she comes to let us know that there are not tables available. We see others complaining as well. Then the manager comes out and offers us a 2 stools by the bar, laughable. That bar has a counter 15 cm deep, not enough to have a meal on it, plus it’s right in from of the open d

plus it’s right in front of the open door, meaning freezing as well. We wanted our money back but they said we had to do it through the ticket vendor, not with them. I’m sure the vendor would’ve tell us it was non-refundable, and to get the 600 yuan back from the Brewery, and…… So as we were ready to leave and go to a better place there was a table being emptied, and I rushed to it but they had giving it to someone else ( who knows how they were prioritizing who to give the next open table to, probably one of their friends). Luckily, that party were only 5 in a 7 chair table and they were nice enough to let us separate one of the tables. When my boyfriend let the manager know what we were doing, the stupid manager wanted to get upset. What a joke! If it wasn’t NYE I would have given that skinny man a piece of my mind. In the end, the event itself was cheese, poorly managed, nothing worth remembering, and a countdown that was more sad than a cheap bar on any small town around. N
