"Taxi Prices Set for Jump in Shenzhen"

I have been in Shenzhen for quite some time now and can say that the city always had a "taxi" problem. Since the huge success of ride-hailing apps, there is actually not one good reason for using a traditional taxi any more. In the past, red taxis were still okay, with cars in fair condition, the generally grumpy driver, who would run the voice messages of his "hometown-driver" WeChat group for the entire time of the ride and not taking too many detours, leaving you with an ok-feeling after exiting the taxi. After “Didi” and other apps kicked in, the situation worsened. Red cab drivers saw a decline in income and over time showed an even more problematic attitude.
