That's Tianjin picks the best thing to do in the city each week.

Looking for a classy way to say farewell to 2017? The Shangri-La, Tianjin and Camus present an elite chef’s table dining experience complete with cognac pairings for New Year's Eve. Ring in 2018 while overlooking the sparkling skyline and riverfront from Horizon Club on the 32nd floor.

For this unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration, you'll be embarking on a journey of gastronomic indulgence at an exclusive chef’s table with legendary French Cognac brand, Camus. Savor a seven-course menu crafted by French Executive Chef Yvan Collet, including delicacies such as steamed lobster with sturgeon caviar and la côte de boeuf with truffle, expertly paired with two of the world’s finest cognacs – the Camus Vsop and Camus La Grande Marque.

A violinist will serenade guests during the elegant evening, and diners can also enjoy sommelier tasting insights presented by a brandy expert as they welcome in the new year.

Sun Dec 31, 6pm-late, RMB888 net per person. Horizon Club, Shangri-La, Tianjin, see event listing
