Five minutes in the other direction is the Central Business District, where guests can shop for Western luxuries.

Renaissance Suzhou Hotel

The chic, cosmopolitan Renaissance Suzhou Hotel is strategically located on the sunset side of beautiful Jinji Lake in Suzhou Industrial Park. Overlooking the tranquil and lush Central Park, the hotel is only steps away from the most exciting shopping and fine dining in Suzhou.

Following its refurbishment, the hotel now boasts 365 stylish rooms, three separate restaurants with an extensive array of dining options, seven function rooms providing more than 2,200-meters of events space and a fully equipped, 24-hour gym and fitness center with saltwater swimming and relaxation pools.

The first floor is home to a global cuisine restaurant, showcasing seafood, steaks and six kinds of all-you-can-eat crayfish. After getting your protein fill, lounge at RBar for a glass of wine or a unique cocktail; we recommend the Bacon Negroni (RMB88) or Rain in Southern (RMB78), a delicate balance of jasmine-infused gin, jasmine syrup and freshly brewed jasmine tea.

The second floor hosts Wan Li, with a variety of local dishes, like Suzhou braised eel, and Cantonese roasted meats. We recommend the Assorted BBQ Meat Platter (RMB128) with a selection of Charcoal Barbecued Honey Glazed Pork, Charoal Barbecued Duck Cantonese Style and Poached Chicken in Rose Flavored Sauce. If you're still hungry, indulge in the Late Night Noodle Club, a DIY mifen station serving in the club lounge nightly from 10-11pm.
