July 4: 4th of July BBQ Party 

Hey Americans! Celebrate the 4th in true American style at The Butcher's Hook's 4th of July BBQ party. If it rains, there will still be a BBQ inside. There will also be free flow drink options for those who want to go big.

Not only can you enjoy a dazzling Argentine tango preformance but there will be free tango lessons with Gabriel Glagovskya, a champion teacher from Argentina.

Through July 31: Suzhou Arts Collective Exhibition: The First Spark

This summer, Suzhou Arts Collective will be hosting a month-long exhibition for 6-year-old Jessica's artwork at an art gallery. The gallery owners, Jeff and Bethany are so excited to help promote this up and coming young artist since part of the gallery's aim is to provide opportunities for emerging artists to display their artwork, thereby helping them develop their potential.

Wednesdays: Ladies Night 

Calling all Ladies! Wednesday night is all about you. Head over to Gastro Lounge 1/2 Azucar for fine Italian Prossecco and French artisanal ice cream. But the best part is that you can enjoy 50% off on a range of fancy cocktails. There will also be a DJ on site and beats for you to groove to.

Fridays: Jinji Lake Music Fountain

After a two-month hiatus, Suzhou's famous Jinji Lake Music Fountain is back in action. Located in the city's Industrial Park, this gorgeous display combines music and light. It's the perfect activity for the whole family. The show takes place every Friday from 8-8.30pm.

Through July 14: Dunhuang 1650 Exhibition

How much do you really know about the cultural and historical city of Dunhuang? Located on the old Silk Road, the ancient city was founded by Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty and has a history of nearly 2,000 years. From now until July 17, Powerlong Museum and Dunhuang Academy China are hosting a special interactive exhibition called Dunhuang 1650, which will display 200 selected items from the ancient city. You’ll have the chance to view and learn about the treasures of Dunhuang, including items such as paintings, sculptures, murals, engravings and a volume of the private and official documents that span thousands of years, many of which have never been publicly displayed before.

Through July 31: Club Med's International Summer Camp in Anji

Summer is right around the corner which means it's time to start making those summer plans. The 1-week Club Med International Summer Camp in Anji will be held at the gorgeous Anji Club Med Resort on June 30, July 7, July 14 and July 21. There's a reason why the Club Med International Summer Camp has been dubbed 'the best summer camp in China'. Campers will be able to participate in all sorts of indoor and outdoor activities such as kayaking, archery, baseball, rugby, golf, football, volleyball and more. In addition, the camp will educate kids through a variety of courses: technology, drama, sports, programming, STEM, speech, drama and more. Experts will be on site to teach and mentor children. The 1-week Anji camp is RMB11,800 per child. However, customers who buy two tickets (within a single purchase) will be reimbursed  RMB1,500 after the event.

Calling all Peppa Pig fans... Peppa Pig Live! is heading to Shanghai this summer. The brand new fun-filled show will feature all of your favorite friends as life-size puppets and costumed characters. Join Peppa on an exciting camping trip to the woods with George and her school friends, including Pedro Pony, Suzy Sheep and Gerald Giraffe. July 11: Lenka Kripac

Get hyped! Australian singer Lenka Kripac is coming to town! You can now head over to thMart and grab tickets to see Lenka perform at VasLive in Shanghai on July 11. Best known for her songs ‘The Show’ and ‘Everything at Once,’ Lenka’s latest album, 2017’s Attune, was praised by Billboardwith the US music magazine saying that the first single on the album has the “power to heal.” High praise indeed!

July 11-14: PAW Patrol Live!

Based on everybody’s favorite animated TV series on Nickelodeon, PAW Patrol Live!, is gearing up for an epic tour around China and it's stopping off right here in Shanghai from July 11-14. PAW Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue brings everybody’s favorite pups to the stage for an action-packed musical adventure. PAW Patrol Live! is not only fun and entertaining, but the show shares lessons about social skills, problem solving and teamwork. July 20: 2019 Premier League Asia Trophy

Great news for English Premier League fans in China, as Manchester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United and West Ham United will contest the 2019 Premier League Asia Trophy in Nanjing and Shanghai. The semi finals take place at Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre on Wednesday, July 17, with Newcastle taking on Wolves and Man City pitted against West Ham. The teams then head to Shanghai, with the third place playoff and final taking place at Hongkou Football Stadium on Saturday, July 20 at 6pm and 8.30pm respectively.

July 30: Anne-Marie

British singer Anne-Marie, who catapulted to fame in 2018 after the release of her debut studio album, Speak Your Mind, comes to China this summer to perform for fans at VasLive in Shanghai. Including standout tracks like ‘2002’, ‘Friends’ and ‘Ciao Adios’, Speak Your Mind is a sparkling pop album full of fun and funky tunes that recall Taylor Swift’s 1989. The album earned her four nominations at the 2019 Brit Awards, for awards like British Female Solo Artist and British Album of the Year. Anne-Marie released her first single ‘Do It Right’ in November 2015 and released the single ‘Alarm’ from her debut album in May 2016. She then appeared on ‘Rockabye’ by Clean Bandit with Sean Paul, which was released in October 2016 and spent nine weeks at Number 1.
