Some of the biggest celebrities in Asia today will be performing alongside Chan in a concert that celebrates a remarkable career in music and movies.

Over the span of his prominent career in the entertainment business, Jackie Chan has become an established household name, and rightfully so. Chan first appeared in small acting roles mainly involving stunt work in the action comedy genre, but his impressive performances quickly caught the eyes of several producers in the Hong Kong film business, thus kicking off his acting career in East Asia.

However, it wasn’t until his Hollywood breakthrough in the mid ’90s that Chan truly began to embark on the road to being an internationally renowned superstar. Establishing strong footholds in both Asia and America not only made him successful in becoming an acclaimed actor but also, ultimately, a global emblem of the Chinese martial arts culture.

It is an understatement to say the Chan is a man of many talents. As if his acting career alone wasn’t impressive enough, Chan is also taken on an array of other occupations including screenwriting, producing, choreographing, directing, only to name a few. Most notably, however, next to his acting of course, is his singing. Chan began to record professionally in the 1980s after training at an opera school in Beijing. He easily became a successful singer in Asia, having released a whopping 20 studio albums. One of his most memorable vocal performances was ‘We Are Ready,’ recorded for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

It is this talent that Chan plans on sharing with audiences in Shenzhen, at a concert on August 2 celebrating his remarkable journey as an entertainer, particularly the milestone of appearing in over one hundred films. Stars also appearing include Korean heartthrobs Rain, Super Junior and Rainbow, Taiwan’s Jimmy Lin, China’s Joey Yung, Leo Ku and Gigi Leung and Chinese-Korean singer Jang Riin.
