From the end of April onwards, free Wi-Fi will be available on Luobao (line 1), Shekou (line 2) and Huangzhong (line 5) via MyWiFi hotspots at participating Metro stations. Although, Wi-Fi is available in metro stations in cities around the world such as London, Paris and New York, Shenzhen will become one of the first to offer passengers free Wi-Fi in transit.

Wi-Fi services at Longhua (line 4) and Longgang (line 3) have been completed and should be available to the public later in the year.

The Wi-Fi network is being developed by Kuang-Chi in cooperation with Vision China Media Group, one of the country’s largest mobile TV operators, to provide wireless services to trains and buses in 89 cities across China.
