WIN! Drinks and Skewers from Beef Bar by Anthony

You probably have two questions. Who is Anthony and how is the beef at this ‘beef bar?’ 

First off, Anthony is the owner of the restaurant, a bit elusive. Perhaps you’ll meet him if – if you’re lucky. Secondly, the beef is delectable. We normally don’t like salads but if you’re there during brunch hours the Spicy Beef Salad (RMB78) is *chef’s kiss*. The salad comes with big hunks of seared, flavorful beef ontop of tangy greens that have a bit of a kick. And of course, on the menu you can various cuts of prime and M8+ steaks. 

Beef Bar by Anthony is slightly hidden on the ground plaza of the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center, just a few doors down from Lavo. 

When you first walk in, there’s a lovely covered patio perfect for brunching, decorated in modern farmhouse style. As you keep walking further in there’s actually a full Japanese restaurant (渔一居酒屋) hidden in the back of Beef Bar, serving izakaya-style dishes like yakitori, sashimi and karaage. During dinner service at Beef Bar, there’s an extensive Western-fusion menu featuring seared scallops, crab cakes, pasta, burgers, steaks and plenty of shareable starters.

Beef Bar is kind of a like a jack-of-all trades. You can brunch there, have date night, or even pregame at the hidden Japanese restaurant before hopping over to Lavo for some live music.
