‘Run to Give’ Charity Night Run, held in on October 26 was attended by more than 300 hotel associates from 14 Shenzhen hotels under the Marriott International Group. The athletes were divided into two several different categories. This year’s event was held at the new landmark of the GBA, known as OH Bay, where runners wearing fluorescent accessories jogged along the track, while enjoying beautiful coastal scenery like the Bay Glory Ferris wheel, the sensational Water Show at Celebration Square and Qianhai Bay. Additionally, the auction and livestream attracted lots of attention from the public. The event raised a total of RMB70,840, which will be donated to the Yao Foundation to support the health and educational development of youth.

Guided by the SERVE360 principle, Marriott International keeps delivering the ‘spirit to serve their community’. In this challenging and unprecedented time, Marriott associates have stayed together to support community in the form of a charity run. Marriott and Yao Foundation have been working together for many years not only to support education projects for underprivileged children in rural China, but also to deliver those same spirit and values to society. The foundation has also just successfully finished ‘2020 Basketball Season’ in Wuhan in early October. The event was dedictated to the optimistic and unwavering attitude of the people of Wuhan fighting against the pandemic.
