St. Patrick’s Day is upon us, which means it’s time to sport your greenest outfit, blast some Irish tunes and drink like no one’s watching. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing coronavirus prevention and containment measures, there are notably less events happening this year compared to 2019. That said, there are still a few celebrations happening around town for you to partake in… Below, we round up the St. Patrick’s Day events happening in the city.

Compass Bar

Compass Bar is pulling out all the stops this Tuesday. The speakeasy-style bar will have three special cocktails: Irish old fashioned (RMB105), Irish Manhattan (RMB125) and Irish coffee (RMB140). In addition to these craft cocktails, there will be Irish whiskey tasting boards and snack pairings available for RMB428 featuring Glendalough 13 Year Old Irish Whiskey with Spanish ham, Redbreast 12 Year Old with chocolate bonbon and Teeling single malt with crispy tapioca chips.

King’s Bar

Looking for a few pints with the lads? If so, King’s Bar is offering RMB20 mixed drink specials (gin, rum vodka, whiskey, tequila), two pints of Guinness for RMB100, five baby cans of Guinness for RMB100 and shots of Jameson for RMB25. Don’t forget to bring your own mask! Eat, drink and be Irish.

La Maison

Staying home this St. Paddy’s day? La Maison is offering a buy one get one free promotion on their delectable French desserts for delivery and dine in. For RMB18, add on a beer! Order via WeChat ID: LaMaisonShenzhen.

McCawley’s

All three locations of McCawley’s (Shekou, Futian and Peninsula) are running St. Patrick’s Day specials from March 14-17. You can expect Irish stew, wings slathered in Jameson BBQ sauce and burgers with Guinness ‘Cheez Whiz’ and rashers all priced at RMB88. Drink specials include four Guinness for RMB160.

The Terrace Restaurant & Bar

What’s the craic at the Terrace? Three pints of green beer for only RMB100. If you’d rather stay indoors, they deliver!

The Snake Pit

Love Irish food? The Snake Pit is offering Leprechaun breadcrumbs, Irish snake skins and Irish lamb stew plus loads of other lucky prizes and deals this Saint Patrick’s Day!
