Shokran started as a solo project by Dmitry Demyanenko in 2012, with the debut EP Sixth Sense. In 2014, already transformed into a full-time band, Shokran released their debut album Supreme Truth, that was played live during their all-around Russian tour. Since then, a new singer, Andrew Ivashchenko, and bass player Valery Yushkevich have joined the band. Check out their latest album Ethereal this Thursday at B10 Live.

Part of the explosion of Dutch EDM DJs who emerged during the 2012-2013 season, Martijn Garritsen (better known as Martin Garrix), kicked off his career in a high-profile way, first landing on the dance charts with his 2012 remix of Christina Aguilera’s ‘Your Body.’The then-16-year-old DJ spent 2012 remixing Aguilera, signing with Spinnin’ Records, and releasing the single, ‘BFAM’ in collaboration with Julian Jordan. In 2013 he released his solo single, ‘Animals,’ which hit number one in the UK and reached the top ten in eight other countries.

This Friday, Turmoil presents Dis Fig, a producer and DJ that never shies away from risk when creating music. Her upcoming album Purge, which is set to release next March, contains fever dream atmospherics considered a pivot from the artists’ usual jams. Warmchainss and Yangyang will also be performing on the evening.
