We’re looking for someone to join our Shenzhen team and help support the growth of That’s PRD across the city and our region at large. Our new events executive will work across multiple platforms (That’s PRD, Urban Family, thatsmags.com and our social media channels) to help brands and businesses connect with our readers.

This exciting opportunity will see the chosen candidate working at the heart of the international community as part of South China’s leading English-language publication.

The successful applicant is someone who:

  • Has college or university training, ideally with a marketing background.

  • Has previous work experience in event planning.

  • Is enthusiastic about event planning and implementation.

  • Has great communication skills that help to create, maintain and extend business connections with existing/potential accounts.

  • Is proficient at Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Willing to learn, eager to fulfill the team targets and work under pressure.

  • Can speak English and Chinese fluently.

What does the job entail? 

  • Outreach to build new relationships and network with clients, accounts and the media.

  • Attend meetings for all relative sales accounts and prepare regular reports.

  • Work with the marketing team to develop proposals and implement comprehensive PR strategies.

  • Assist in researching, writing and distributing press releases and brand-related content to targeted media.

  • Execute well-organized events, including themed parties/events, press conferences, onsite events and commercial projects.

  • Attend public events as a representative to promote company business.

  • Discover and reach cooperative interaction with valuable event/media exchange programs.  

  • Undertake research for new business proposals and present to potential new clients.

  • Manage and report daily/monthly updates on social media platforms and market competitors.

  • Complete wide and in-depth research and evaluation of event suppliers database.
