This English indie rock band caps off a three-stop China tour at B10 on June 7. Peace have been compared to the likes of Vampire Weekend, The Maccabees and Foals over the years, garnering a large fanbase. The band hit their stride in 2013 after being nominated in the Sound of 2013 poll. Come on down and enjoy Peace’s last pit stop in China – for now, anyway.

Swing by Block Sixteen to catch Qingdao-based Brit rock band Orange Ocean supply some dreamy tunes for what’s sure to be a great evening. And for the early birds, the first 200 tickets sold will receive a free Orange Ocean specialty cocktail to kickoff the night – courtesy of OCT Loft haunt Life on Mars.

Music label Unchained Asia has played a key role in growing the bass music scene in South China. And to celebrate its three-year anniversary, come and move to the beat at Oil this Saturday where a star-studded lineup of artists will hit the stage. Current Value, Fre4knc and SwiftMC will be creating tasteful vibes, with Unchained Asia CEO Daniel Power also getting in on the mix. The evening will also feature Lyndon Jarr, Just Bee, Immuno, 3ASIC, MC R-Vee and VJ EVFO.

Sun, Jun 9: Motorama @ B10

If you’re jonesing for some post-punk madness, check out Russian band Motorama. Lead singer Vladislav Parshin performs songs in English and has even drawn comparisons to Joy Division’s frontman Ian Curtis. The release of their first LP, Alps, has given the band a new direction, with sounds similar to new wave and indie pop.

Sun, Jun 9: Marc Melia @ Oil

Brussels-based composer slash musician Marc Melia is in the midst of an eight-stop China tour, passing through multiple provinces and municipalities. He’ll make his way to Oil on June 9, bringing the audience a truly unique live electronic music act. Melia helps give beauty to the sounds we often hear in nature as cold and emotionless, and brings life to what may be seen by some as artificial.
