Sat, Mar 23: Kode9 & Kabuki @ Oil
Building on a spate of fantastic bass performances in the underground electronic venue, Oil bring Scottish dubstep maestro Kode9, as well as jungle and UK bass artist Kabuki to Shenzhen this weekend. These two are considered to have helped forge the way forward for their respective genres over the years, and will be joined by China-based artists 3asic, Daniel Power (of Unchained) and Kelvin T (of Absurd Trax). Don't miss this one.
Sat Mar 23, 10pm. RMB100 presale, RMB120 at the door. Oil. See event listing. Tickets.

Sun, Mar 24: Gentle Grape @ B10
First of all, get a load of that name. Gentle Grapes, a young band with an average age somewhere in the region of 22 years old, offers fairly melodic pop punk music. Having taken the stage at a number of festivals throughout Greater China, these guys are battle-hardened, ensuring that this should be a pretty good performance.
Sun Mar 24, 8pm; RMB60 student, RMB80 presale, RMB100 at the door. B10. See event listing. Tickets.
