This month, Pecha Kucha are coming back with a bang – introducing the PechaKucha Night – Shenzhen Creative Week, their biggest event ever! Prepare yourself for a glut of creativity at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on March 19 and 20, where 40 speakers from all walks of life will share the ideas behind their amazing art and design.

Thu, Mar 21: Allianz Explorer Series - Urban Air Mobility

Allianz is in tune with this way of thinking, which is why the German-based Fortune 500 Company is calling on the bright and creative minds of entrepreneurs, startup professionals, senior corporate executives and investors, among other interested individuals, to share their ideas on what the future of urban air mobility will look like. Allianz will host their world-famous Global Explorer Program in Shenzhen on Thursday, March 21.

Thu, Mar 21: Compassion X Design Talk

Design is never isolated but rather closely bound up within each era. The concepts of designers resemble the seeds of kindness that only flower in nutritious soil. During this creative week, the folks at Design Society will gather some central forces from Switzerland design, as well as other regions to discuss the coexistence of design and its environment.

Tue-Sun, Mar 22-April 28: Sean Lee Solo Exhibition

This is Lee’s first solo exhibition, which features his most recent creations since 2018. Sean Lee, born in Daqing City in 1983, graduated from the department of comprehensive painting in Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts in 2006, and now lives and works in Chengdu. His ebullient paintings create disorder in order, and, in a way, shine a light on our own human need to clarity.

Sat, Mar 23: Kidz With Hearts Mini Olympics

Kids from 5-11 years old from across Shenzhen will represent their home countries in a variety of sporting activities while raising money to help impoverished children in China reach for a better tomorrow. Kids will receive a T-shirt, medal and goodie bag as part of the registration package.

Sat, Mar 23: TEDxYouth@SWIS

The theme of the First TEDX event at SWIS is ‘Glass Ceilings: Breaking Norms’ and revolves around breaking the stereotypes and coming up with something valuable and inspiring. Some of the major ideas discussed will include the impact of popular culture on the food choices people make and its impact on ecosystem, robotics and gene technology and lesser-known fields.

Sat, Mar 23: Kode9 & Kabuki

Building on a spate of fantastic bass performances in the underground electronic venue, Oil bring Scottish dubstep maestro Kode9, as well as jungle and UK bass artist Kabuki to Shenzhen this weekend. These two are considered to have helped forge the way forward for their respective genres over the years, and will be joined by China-based artists 3asic, Daniel Power (of Unchained) and Kelvin T (of Absurd Trax). Don't miss this one.
