That's Shenzhen takes a look at the best live music shows this weekend.
Thu, Sept 20: The Royal Concept @ B10 Live
While they haven’t released an album since 2015, The Royal Concept’s funky electropop has a timeless quality, reminiscent of everyone from French altpop band Phoenix, to American pop trio Fun. Their music has made appearances on a wide assortment of TV shows and video games such as FIFA 2014, Catfish and, who can forget, Glee. If you are stuck for a reason to polish off your dancing shoes this week, go catch The Royal Concept at B10 Live on Thursday night.
Thu Sept 20, 8.30pm; RMB150 presale, RMB200 at the door. B10 Live. See event listing. Tickets.
Fri, Sept 21: Saycet @ Hou Live
Growing up in Paris, electronic musician Saycet was already obsessed with music and making beats by the time he was a teenager. He has gone on to release beautiful low-tempo music and his name has been mentioned in the same breath as other hallowed French electronic musicians such as M83 and Daft Punk. His appearance coincides with the Franco-Chinese Month of the Environment festival from September 15 to October 14 in Paris and 22 cities around China.
Sat Sept 21, 8.30pm; RMB100 presale, RMB120 at the door. Hou Live. See event listing. Tickets.

With a stacked line-up of producers at Oil Club this coming Friday, Dutch producer Former brings his visually astonishing set to bear alongside a plethora of fantastic musicians such as 3asic out of Nanjing, Kilo Vee, who helps to run Genome 6.66mbp, as well as Fried Kitten and Kim Laughton. Each of these performers brings an experimental flavor to Oil Club, with many relishing the creativity that combining music and visual arts affords.
