Fri, May 25: Dominos Hip Hop Party @ Brown Sugar Jar (Shekou)
Want to sample China's up-and-coming hip hop scene? Drop by this gig, featuring three young rappers – Gali, KT, JCool – and DJ 赖宝宝. Individually, they've performed at music festivals, enjoyed online popularity and even appeared on The Rap of China. Now they're touring as a group through Shenzhen, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Fri, May 25: Sulumi + Ptwiggs @ Oil Club
Sulumi, aka Sun Dawei, is an electronic musician, guitarist and prolific Chinese composer. He founded music label 'Shanshui Records' and has made dozens of electronic releases over the course of 10 years. Together with other domestic and foreign artists, he's helping push forward China's electronic music revolution.

Fri, May 25: Jungle Party @ The Terrace
Celebrate the cultures, rhythms and long struggle for independence among the peoples of Africa. Terrace takes the opportunity to decorate in selected African styles, with house band TAS putting on a special performance for the night. Enjoy huge discounts on certain beverages until 9.30pm.

Sat, May 26: DuOud @ Brown Sugar Jar Public House
DuOud consists of two oud players, Tunisian-born Jean-Pierre Smadja and Algerian master musician Mehdi Haddab. Possibly the first group to combine North African lutes with electronic sensibilities, the duo has built up a unique style featuring break beats, jazz grooves and metal guitar. Their debut album Wild Serenade was nominated for a Best Newcomer prize at the BBC Music Awards.

Sat, May 26: Outlook Festival Official Shenzhen Launch Party @ Oil Club
Join the official Shenzhen launch party for the Outlook Festival, Europe's large-scale celebration of soundsystem and bass music culture. This Saturday will see South China's biggest underground bass music fest, featuring a huge roster of musicians. Headlining are dBridge, a veteran drum 'n' bass producer and artist; dance floor-friendly DJ Arkaik; and Hong Kong electronic artist L'Homie, among others shown above.
