Chinese tech giant Huawei recently granted permission for CNBC to tour its ginormous Shenzhen headquarters, where 60,000 employees work, eat and even study. In a four-minute clip, a reporter takes viewers on a journey around the campus' 12 cafeterias, subsidized housing and post-lunch napping spots, among other things.
The headquarters hosts a third of Huawei's global workforce, the sheer size of which reflects the three-decade-old company's rapid rise. And with 45 percent of employees "engaged in some form of research and development," the world's biggest telecommunications equipment manufacturer seems to be still pushing the envelope.
Huawei's headquarters may fall short of Google's cushy California campus, which has become a tourist attraction.
