The Royal Concept
What does a smile sound like? Given its sun-soaked flavor and upbeat swing, The Royal Concept’s second EP Smile could very well answer that.
The Swedish quartet – vocalist David Larson, guitarist Filip Bekic, bass player Magnus Robert and drummer Frans Povel – first achieved worldwide attention with viral hit 'D-D-Dance.'
After the release of their debut EP, the band crisscrossed the globe to play shows. Simultaneously, their hit single 'On Our Way' received high-profile placements everywhere from Glee and MTV’s Catfish to FIFA 14.
To put together their newest batch of tunes, the band traded Sweden’s snow for Los Angeles’s sun and entered the studio. 12 days later they emerged with the EP Smile.
Aug 25, 8.30pm; RMB120 presale, RMB150 at the door. B10 Live. See event listing. Tickets.
For a Minor Reflection
Energetic, melodious rock band For a Minor Reflection is comprised of four 23-year-olds from Reykjavík, Iceland.
Great stage presence at live shows – including a 15-concert run alongside Sigur Rós – earned them a loyal fan base and eventually saw them tour locations far as the US, where they played at South by Southwest.
Since then they've also played gigs in Estonia, Latvia and now, on their 10-stop China tour, Shenzhen.
