August 9-12: Dine on 2-Michelin Starred Kyoto Cuisine in Hong Kong, Macau
Chef Takagi Kazuo from the two-Michelin-star restaurant Kyoto Cuisine Takagi is stopping by Hong Kong and Macau to give diners a taste of traditionally crafted Japanese cuisine. Book either a five-course lunch or eight-course dinner (including selected wines) to sample both signature and original dishes.

August 9-13: Sister Act on Stage
The movie was one of the most financially successful comedies of the early 1990s, so how does it do on stage? Quite well, actually: the musical has been staged across the US, Europe with the Broadway production receiving positive reviews.

August 11: Single Malt Whisky Tasting at George & Dragon
Sample the good stuff at British pub George & Dragon this Friday. You can try five different single malt varieties for the price of three, making the experience as educational as it is intoxicating.

August 12: Liam Gallagher's Shenzhen Concert
British rock singer-songwriter Liam Gallagher will make his debut tour visiting Shenzhen on August 12. The former Oasis member has been in the limelight for about three decades, his career spawning pub anthems thanks to the singer-songwriter's unique voice and talented writing.

August 12: One-man Hamlet Performance at Cinexpress
See the angsty classic come to life in this one-man rendition. In case you'd forgotten, the play finds Hamlet dealing with the fallout from his father's recent murder at the hands of the Danish prince's uncle.

August 12: Kid Ink at Club Cubic (Macau)
The LA rapper and producer has collaborated with the likes of Chris Brown, Fetty Wap and Ty Dolla $ig. The payoff has been big, with 2013 hit 'Show Me,' featuring Chris Brown, breaking the top 10 in Billboard's R&B/Hip-hop and Rap charts. August 13: Flash Games + Buffet, Free Flow Drinks at Blu Bamboo

August 13: Books and Brews Meetup

This month's book is the graphic novel Persepolis, an autobiography depicting a woman’s early adult years in Iran during and after the Islamic Revolution.

August 13: Dutch DJ Mason at Pepper Club
Electronic music DJ and producer Mason has made waves outside his home country. In 2015, single 'Papapapa' had a top ranking on Beatport charts, while the 2016 collaboration 'Fashion Killa' (above) was featured in ads for America's Next Top Model. Single 'Rhino,' released this year, was selected as the Hottest Record by BBC Radio 1.

Ongoing: 'Same same, but different' Photography Exhibition at Mash
Russian photographer Ule, whose work was once featured in Vivienne Westwood's collection 100 Days of Active Resistance, is showcasing works from her travels through China this month. Meet the artist in person at Mash Gastropub on August 11.
