April 10-15: Shenzhen Bay Music Festival and Art Exhibition
The Shenzhen Bay Music Festival celebrates the musical and artistic talents of the international school community in Shenzhen. From April 10-14, view works of art created by students in the ISNS exhibition space from 3-6pm (RSVP required). On Friday there will be a closing night celebration from 5-8pm. Musical performances (featuring traditional Chinese, Maori and African gospel music) will be held in Poly Theatre on April 15, starting at 5pm. Email tickets@isnsz.com to book tickets for the show.

April 13: Young Talent Cooking Competition
Fans of Food Network and similar won't want to miss this event. Young chefs will be showing off their skills in the Shenzhen round of the 10th Disciples Escoffier Young Talent Trophy. Winners will compete at the national level in Shanghai for a chance to go to the Asian final, followed by the world final in Paris next year. For aspiring chefs under 25, it's an incredible opportunity; for food lovers, it'll be quality entertainment.

April 14-15: eCig Expo
Whether you vape or not, e-cigarettes are fascinating. Everything from super-powered clouds of not-smoke to touchscreen controls are becoming more commonplace in the world of e-cigarettes. Plus, drinks will be sold at this 3000-square-meter exhibition of 500 brands from 25 countries.

April 14: Stuffed Pork Chops at George & Dragon

April 14: Pianist Adam Komieja
Pianist Adam Komieja will be starting the night out strong with Chopin. After the intermission, he'll perform pieces from lesser known composers such as Szymanowski, Serocki and Sikorski, finishing off with Namucuo by Ye Xiaogang. Buy tickets here.

April 14: DJ Wiwek 'Jungle Terror' Party
DJ Wiwek refers to his blend of electronic beats with 'tropical rhythms' as 'Jungle Terror.' He's bringing this mix, also infused with hints of tribal house and hip hop, to the dancefloor at Dazzle this Friday. April 15: Discover China at Shekou International School
On the afternoon of April 15, gather outside of the Jing Shan campus of Shekou International School for three hours of China-themed 'food, fun & entertainment.' In case of rain, the event will be held on April 22.

April 15: Salad Making Class at Les 5 Chef's
Chef Harry will be leading a class on how to create three different salads and their dressings. April 15: DJ Mija at Pepper Club
In 2014, DJ Mija played at Bonnaroo Music Festival, where she ran into Skrillex and played a back-to-back sunrise set. Her latest, 'Crank It,' has a trippy electronic sound and features Lil Jon. To see the super-hip DJ perform live, come to Pepper Club this Saturday night.

April 15: DLR at Public
Seeing early success on BBC’s Radio One, DLR began his solo career in 2013. Since then, his album Method… in Madness was ranked in the top five albums of the year. A prolific drum and bass artist, he has worked with multiple labels and was originally scheduled to bring his singular skills to Club Sector in Shenzhen. However, due to ongoing renovation, his performance has been relocated to Public.

April 16: Louisana Crawfish Boil
New Orleans Kitchen, in Shuiwei, is holding an all-you-can-eat Southern food bonanza on Sunday. Based on Louisiana tradition, the menu for the evening features crawfish, corn, potatoes, 'other Cajun favorites' and Tiger beer to wash it all down. Scan the QR code here to buy presale tickets.

April 16: Community Easter Gathering at Residence G Shenzhen
The '4th Easter Community Party,' co-hosted by our sister magazine Urban Family, offers parents and kids everything from drone workshops to bubble football to family trivia and, of course, an egg hunt. There'll be a buffet from 1-3.15pm, and a lucky draw to finish things off from 4.15-5pm. If all those aren't incentive enough, the proceeds from the event will go to 'Aaron's cause,' helping a local family fundraise for their baby's medical treatment.
