Six people are dead and 15 injured after a multi-vehicle collision, including a tanker truck, left fiery devastation on January 14 on the Qinglian Expressway, which connects Qingyuan to Yangshan in Guangdong.
Fire fighters and soldiers were dispatched to fight the blaze, according to Tencent News, which appears to have started when the fuel truck crashed into a white car. A total of 19 cars were damaged in the incident, seven of which were scorched by the fire.
Remnants of the carnage have been cleared from the highway and traffic has resumed through the area as normal.
The accident came on day two of the 2017 Spring Festival travel rush, which began January 13 and is expected to run until February 21.
