The-Taming-of-the-Shrew-by-TNT-Theatre-Britain.jpg

One of Shakespeare’s most famous comedies, The Taming of the Shrew tackles serious topics like the relation of men and women and money and love in a humorous way. TNT Theatre is faithful to the original play, reproducing classic Shakespearean dialogues, innocuous erotic jokes and English humor. While many other theaters have tried to weaken the chauvinism depicted in the original play, TNT Theatre’s director tries instead to depict the different ways the play has been performed over the years.

Nov 25, 8pm; RMB80-300. Shenzhen Children’s Palace. See event listing.
