October 26: Digital Marketing and Crowdfunding Workshop

The talk portion of the event will cover how to market your product and garner media attention. There'll also be time to practice pitches and network with others over beer and pizza. October 28: Cameron Carpenter Organ Concert

Hailing from the USA, organist Cameron Carpenter has made a name for himself as a rulebreaker in the musical world. He's adventurous in his interpretation of classical pieces and is also a big fan of electronic organs. Now Carpenter's bringing his act 'Pipe Storm' to Shenzhen; it's sure to be a blast. October 29: Job Fair and Career Forum

The daylong series of talks is held in tandem with a job fair that caters specifically to foreigners. In between passing out resumes, attendees can get tips on interviewing, Chinese taxes, and visa policies—all things you'll need to know after you land that dream job.

October 29: The Seven Mile Journey

The Seven Mile Journey is a Danish post-rock/classical group made up of four members. Their sound is instrumental and contemplative, leading the listener on a journey of pure musical exploration. The group has toured Europe and Asia before. Now, they're bringing their latest album Templates for Mimesis to their Chinese fans.

October 29-31: Halloween Trick or Treat for Kids

Who doesn't like a good treat? There will be plenty of spooky snacks to go around at this family-friendly event, held in the cafe inside the Venice Raytour Hotel Shenzhen. Waitstaff get into the spirit too with Halloween costumes, and with drawings for restaurant/hotel vouchers, there should be plenty of holiday cheer to go around.

October 30: Left Right

This Chinese nu metal band uses elements of both Chinese classical music and electronica in their songs. During their live shows, they've been known to dress up in various masks and costumes to liven up the atmosphere.
