That's PRD takes a look at the best of the week:
September 23: Just Rock It
As one of the most popular bands in China, Mayday is bringing their new album, History of Tomorrow, to Shenzhen. Their passionate and powerful songs are notable for the energy the musicians put into them.
September 23: Castle in The Sky
Fans of Miyazaki films will enjoy this live rendition of songs from 80s animated classics such as Castle in
the Sky and My Neighbor Totoro. This family-friendly event features accomplished Chinese violinists Xiao Nan and Shi Yimei.
September 24: CICC Go Karting
Organized by the CICC, this will be their sixth networking and teambuilding activity. If you love go-karts or want to take one for a spin, don't miss this yearly competition.
September 24: J.C. Satàn
J.C. Satàn made a name for themselves with their first LP, Sick Of Love, cementing that reputation with their second, Hell Death Samba, which had major critical and commercial success. The band's third release rewrote the rules of psychedelic rock, proving that whatever they do is audacious - and perplexing.
September 23-24: Graffiti Jam
Jardin Orange Artist Residency has invited 11 graffiti writers and artists to spray paint around the area of SoFun Land in the north of Nanshan District. Participants will be working independently or collaboratively to cover old walls with new, dynamic designs and colors. The hard work, collaboration and creativity is sure to be very inspiring and exhibit a diverse mix of styles and ideas. This is a great opportunity to see street art and graffiti live and in full effect!
September 24: You’re Gonna Get Love by Keren Ann
Keren Ann will bring her new album, You’re Gonna Get Love, to Shenzhen. End your September with a masterful performance by this singer-songwriter.
September 25: Russian Neo Classical Post Rock Band Aesthesys
Aesthesys is an instrumental outfit based in Moscow, Russia. Founded by Nik Koniwzski as his one-man project back in 2007, it evolved into an ensemble performing post-rock music with ambient and neoclassical influences by becoming a quartet in the end of 2011, with Eldar Ferzaliev, Dmitry Solopov and Arsentiy Karpov joining as guitarist, bassist and drummer. This band has performed live across many European countries. Time to show your respect!
