If you didn’t achieve quite the mind-blowing beach physique you’d hoped this summer, you’re probably looking around for ways to lose the pounds or bulk up on muscle. After all, when you’ve got a banging body, it doesn’t really matter what the season is, you’ll be proud to shed the clothing and show off!
In support of vanity – and, you know, being healthy or whatever – the K2Fit Challenge is back for another round this September, with 10 weeks of meal plans, exercise regimens and one-on-one advice from coach and founder Kara Wutzke. Ten weeks… That’s less than three months… in fact, it’s not even a quarter of a year. Sounds like a piece of cake!
Well, okay, it’s not all that easy; you do actually have to make some effort to stick with it. But the results are proven, whether you’re looking to slim down or tone up – just look at the poster – and it’s a lot better than trusting to dubious website workouts and clippings from Men’s Health.
I’d love to be able to flex bulging biceps/flaunt my flat stomach/make my pecs move like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson! Also that ‘being healthy’ thing. Tell me more about this K2Fit 10-Week Challenge. How does it work?
In the weeks before the Challenge starts, you’ll register and submit your measurements and photos to the K2Fit team.
Days before the Challenge starts, you will receive the meal plan and your first workouts for the week.
You’ll be added to a WeChat group, which will be active on a daily basis with suggestions, tips, ideas, questions and probably a few jokes. Feel free to participate in the friendly banter as much or as little as you want!
3-5 days per week you will do one of the K2Fit workouts – you’ll be doing strength training to work different muscle groups on different days. On the days you’re not doing the workouts, you can do interval training/cardio and stay active in other ways. New strength workouts are sent out every 2-3 weeks.
On a weekly basis you will receive emails to check in and see how you are doing, as well as some fitness tips and reminders.
If you have a question at any time you can drop a private message to Kara Wutzke via her official WeChat: KaraK2Fit. Trainer at your fingertips!
As the 10 weeks draw to a close, you’ll be reminded to submit your final measurements and photos. This is important! Those measurements help you see how far you’ve come. Even if you don’t think you’ve done as well as you hoped, please check and let the K2Fit team know. You might be surprised by the results, and we definitely want to know about them!
Okay, I’m sold. How do I apply?
First, decide if you want to apply as an individual, a couple, a team or all three! There are loads of different cash prizes on offer for different categories of competitors. Registration opens on August 29, so you’ve got plenty of time to prepare measurements/get together a team/ask K2Fit any questions you have before sealing the deal.
The deadline for registration is September 7. There will be a casual get-together on September 11 so you can meet the trainer and other challengers before the 10 weeks officially start on September 12.
And to show we’re not all talk and no action, our very own web editor, Matthew Bossons, will be taking part in the Challenge and documenting his journey to getting in shape every week.
