Golf, the sport most of us rarely thought of until Tiger Woods’ infamous late night car crash and relationship meltdown. It’s a sport of skill, balls and walking (lots of walking) and the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong wants you to join their golf tournament at Mission Hill, Dongguan on May 20.
The tournament will be a great opportunity to meet both local and foreign professionals from the south of China and, like last year, will be a Texas Scramble-style competition.
Texas Scramble, for those unfamiliar with the style, is a team form of golf competition. The most common form, according to Golf Monthly, involves teams of three or four players who each drive and then pick the best shot. From there, each player places his or her ball where the selected drive ended up – all team members shoot their second shot from the selected location.
Registration includes 18-holes of competitive – yet fun – golf, entrance to the awards dinner buffet (including free flow drinks) and prizes. Those that take advantage of the early bird sign up will have the chance to test drive a luxury car!
