Conveniently located opposite the Coastal City Poly Cinema and right above Houhai Metro Exit E1, Indian Curry Kitchen’s mosaic stone pillars and cushy furnishings provides a comfortable dining atmosphere, while a steadily increasing variety of original Indian dishes are carefully prepared from imported goods.

“Every item is prepared fresh from scratch to guarantee the quality, also we let each guest decide how spicy they want their dish,” explains owner Jennifer Yip. Having turned the restaurant into a chain, with outlets spread across Asia, the team has access to best practices and the know-how of providing authentic Indian cuisine to its guests.

Such finesse is reflected in each dish, such as the Chicken Samosa (RMB30), typical Indian stuffed puff pastry, which tastes great when accompanied by a cup of fresh brewed Indian Masala Tea (RMB 12) as they cleanse your palate with mild spices. Chef’s recommendations like the Lamb Rogan Josh (tender lamb pieces in a mild thick tomato sauce) for RMB65 or the Chicken Pasanda (tender boneless chicken pieces mixed in buttered cream with dried fruits and nuts) for RMB55 are both served in small Indian copper bowls and set off a firework of spices in your mouth when accompanied by a portion of Garlic Naan bread for RMB15 or Yellow Saffron Rice for RMB35.

Although the service staff offers cutlery and chopsticks, authentic Indian cuisine is best enjoyed with bare hands, mixing up the dishes and letting your palate relish in a festival of spices.
