April 1: Black Kirin
Black Kirin is one of the most popular metal bands in China in recent years. The band was founded in 2013 and was initially a solo project by guitarist Fang Sen – who is based in Changchun. In addition to traditional black metal instruments, folk music elements and even Peking opera factors can be found in their music.
