A Shenzhen bus driver recently turned over a seemingly mentally ill 18-year-old girl to the police after she exhibited strange behavior while using public transit, reports Shenzhen Daily.
The girl got on the M447 bus in Futian District and did not pay for her ticket. Li rode the bus silently to Pinhshan New Area, at which point the bus driver began to think that she was “acting abnormally” and decided to bring her to the terminal station to help find her relatives. However, bus station employees failed to get any information from the girl and – after numerous failed attempts to communicate with her – called the police.
It was at the station where police discovered the girl’s name is Li Xue and she comes from Yongzhou in Hunan province. Unfortunately, Li was unable to share any more information with the officers and was only heard speaking gibberish (literally how every X-Files episode starts).
She is thought to suffer from mental health issues and was transferred to a mental facility in Shenzhen. She will first be treated at the hospital and later transfered to an aid center. From there, the aid center will try to send her back to the address stated on her Hukou.
