For those of us not fortunate enough to be escaping to a warm Southeast Asian beach this Chinese New Year, there are a number of events happening in Shenzhen to help you get into the spring-fest spirit. 

To help you make the most of Chinese New Year in Shenzhen, we have compiled a list of the best events happening across the city. There is no reason to be jaded in Shenzhen this Spring Festival!


February 7 to 10: The Terrace Spring Festival Celebration 

Celebrate Chinese New Year at the Terrace and receive a ‘red envelope lucky draw ticket,’ for the chance to win RMB1000, with every RMB100 purchase. Guests can also enjoy a CNY eve performance by TAS!

February 7-14: Happy Chinese New Year at Window of The World

Looking for a different Chinese New Year experience? Window of the World is preparing a South American-themed party to spice things up this Chinese New Year! Come with your family and friends to cerebrate together with a little Latin flare.

Cost: RMB180 for daytime, RMB60 from 7.30

When: 9am-10.30pm

February 8-22: Celebrating Spring Festival with Chinese Roses

It's time to enjoy the blooming flowers in Shenzhen! Renmin Park will provide visitors with a sea of amazing flowers, composed of over 50,000 roses of 300 different varieties. 

Cost: Free entry

When: All day

Where: Shenzhen Renmin Park, 3071 Renmin Bei Lu, Luohu District 罗湖区人民北路3071号深圳市人民公园

Welcome to the world of lanterns! One of the symbols of Spring Festival, the lantern is of special importance on this keynote holiday. Join an interactive lantern show to get into the festive spirit and experience a mix of modern showmanship and traditional significance. It’s the perfect event to attend with family and friends over the holidays!

Cost: RMB50 for weekdays, RMB80 for weekends and holidays
