Welcome to Claude Diallo’s musical universe. Inspired by Oscar Peterson in his style, the young jazz pianist and composer has self-produced nine CDs and a live DVD, winning over audiences across the globe with his unique style. In town on December 9, he’s bringing with him fiery jazz tunes for all Shenzheners to enjoy!

December 9: Marc Méan Trio
With a creative combo of piano, bass and drums, these three musicians have developed their own unique sound. Their vibe is at once loud and soft, sensitive and bold, free flowing and groovy and – in one word – exciting. A rich range of nuances, lively interaction, surprise and provocation make this trio’s music memorable from the first tune.

December 11: Chris Garneau
Chris Garneau is an American singer-songwriter and musician. Combining the elements of folk, Americana and pop, his music is light, energetic and unique in its character. Since the release of his debut album, Music for Tourists, Garneau has toured throughout the United States, Canada, Brazil, Europe, and Asia - with December bringing him to Shenzhen by showing his fantastic songs.

December 12: Beer Master Competition
We all have hidden skills. What if yours is drinking lots and lots of beer? Come on over to Hana Pizza Bar and find out. The bar is holding its monthly Beer Master Competition on December 26 - a great free event to leave your worries behind and show off your beer prowess in front of a group of friends.

Chinese culture always attracts people with its mysterious and profound history. This time, thanks to the Ba-Shu-e Exhibition, you can get a look from up-close and explore the works of local contemporary artists.

This December is filled with artistic events, especially those pertaining to Chinese culture. Take a visual step into the past and enjoy an afternoon of ancient art works at Qin Wan’s exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Until December 15: Chen Danqing’s solo Exhibition
The Chinese oil painting artist, Chen Danqing, is known to the world for his paintings of Tibet. This time, he has brought 20 artworks from different periods and will be showcasing them in Shenzhen until December 15.
