Two mainstreams have influenced in the Philosophy of the Latin Dance: one has to do with its origins in the Egyptian-belly dance 2,000 years before, and the second one came with the nomadic migration of the Gypsies from Northern India who moved towards the Spanish peninsula.  When this happened, there was a fusion of cultures between these two places/peoples and the Spanish-Flamenco was born in the 1500s. When the Conquistadors came to the Americas with African slaves, other styles of the Latin Dance were created.  The movement of the Tango in Argentina was just one example 170 years before, then salsa from Cuba/Puerto Rico in the last 124 years, after it was cha-cha in 1948, moving with the sound of mambo in the 1950s and culminating with reggaeton in contemporary times.  The Philosophy of the Latin Dance is a beat, feeling and lifestyle which like the ‘one-two step’ will capture your heart forever with love and hypnotic passion.
