The first stop of The Celebrated Prankster and Godfather of Street Art is in Shenzhen at the Pop Art Space, Q-Plex. Ron English's new artwork exhibition is going to lift the veil on June 21, 2019. The exhibition is comprised of 15 large oil canvas paintings, 18 works on paper, two monumental sculptures and dozens of new toys, exclusives and art print releases. In addition, 33 artworks in this exhibition are brand-new. Ron has also created 60 new songs that will serve as the soundtrack for the epic installations.

In his new series English Translations, Ron English reimagines icons of pop culture through the prism of his unique hyper-surrealistic mind. The brush strokes of his old contemporary Jean Michael Basquiat morph into flames revealing an internal alien behind the expressionistic facade, an obsessively cute elephant grows monarch ears, evolution turns the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex into a forty foot dinosaur/chicken hybrid and mascots of cartoon culture grin with such abandon they reveal their inner selves. 'English' becomes a language where everything is at once soothingly familiar and jarringly foreign.
