Tuva, a Russian autonomous republic that lies to the North of Mongolia, has maintained its fascinating traditional culture and arts, taking in influences from Siberia, Turkic countries to the West, Mongolian and Chinese influences to the South. Sainkho Kosmos, a musician from Tuva, is famed for her incredible throat-singing, while her music also employs aspects of jazz, electronica and more modern compositional methods.
