Xi'an-based band Huoxing Ruye, or Mars Dairy, are in the midst of a monster tour around the country. With just a few published songs under their belt, they're largely still an unknown property, but judging by their three tracks available on Netease music, their music is sparse, string-based pop, fronted by the beautiful voice of lead singer Wang Wei, and at moments reminiscent of the piercing tones of someone like Rilo Kiley.
