We're kicking off 2019 with a Q&A session featuring a local author.
Bilingual writer Huang Guosheng tells the story of a young migrant pursuing his dreams in his novel The Road to Shenzhen (深圳梦). The English edition of the book was nominated for the Dublin Literary Award, an annual prize handed out through the city's public library system. The Road to Shenzhen also received 4th place in a Chinese novel contest and was longlisted for the Maodun Literary Prize.
Be sure to arrive by 8pm on Wednesday evening if you'd like to be part of the conversation!
As usual, our free community library of over 1,000 books will be open for checkouts and returns throughout the event.
