With myriad installations, exhibits and workshops in Nantou Ancient City and across the city, this year's Biennale explores themes of "Global South," "Urban Village" and "Art, Making Cities." Smaller exhibits, like "Migrations: Home and Elsewhere—Rediscovering Hakka History and Chinese-Western Cultural Exchange" at the Longheu P+V Gallery, add a tender element through video interviews with families of some of Shenzhen's earliest expats.
